~*Thanksgiving Blessings*~

***Hello and Happy Thanksgiving 

to all my long lost blogging friends***

Just wanted to peak my head in and say I'm still around, I've been gone sooooo long you may not even miss me :)

I had planned on a pattern line release but computer issues(AGAIN) and technical problems with my charting program stopped me and I just didn't have the time or patience to work thru either. But 2014 will bring life to my adventure.....

And I am still unable to post fully about the details of the aftereffects of a basically life changing event, legal silence so to speak......

I WANT to share, to TALK, to let it all out and LET you all back in.

Time is finally coming on our side. This journey has been such a huge part of my life. It would be hard to post without talking about the ins and outs and ups and downs. Soon, hopefully soon....

I wanted to wish you all a blessed holiday, hope you all share it with those you love. And say how much I miss starting my day off with blogging, and talking with all the wonderful people I came to know.

Our Thanksgiving plans are still up in the air. I have to work from 10-2 and that makes planning a little tough. Remember the good old days when no one worked on holidays? When people planned ahead to get what they needed and everything was closed and everyone survived??? To me it's a shame that it's become ok for people to work rather than be able to be with their families. We have 364 days a year to know holidays are coming and prepare. People used to be able to buy their groceries, put gas in their car and get whatever they needed without needing the 365th day. Call me old fashioned but I miss those days....did before I was one of those people stuck working too. Whatever happened to family first??

Anyway.......

After having the stomach flu on Thanksgiving night a few years ago I still can't get the taste back for traditional turkey dinner :(  Last year I made a total dinner with recipes from The Pioneer Woman (I dream of living on a ranch like her!!) Not being a recipe but a cook by feel & love girl it was fun to do and tasty for the most part but still a little much for my tastebuds and my kids didn't get thrilled over it so this year I think I'm going off the beaten path. Think we're going to do some snacky foods like chicken dip and pizza logs and some yummy appetizers I found on Pinterest. Quicker for me to prepare, easier on cleanup and we can just eat as we want and watch National Lampoons Christmas Vacation (the official start to the holiday season, it never stops being funny!!) and just enjoy our time together.

I hope this Thanksgiving finds you all healthy and happy and brings you wonderful memories to fill your heart.

I have an ADDICTION to PINTEREST!!!!!!!!!!

Ok, it's out
My name is Kriss and I can spend HOURS on Pinterest
Seriously.....HOURS...........LOL

I have a passion for decorating and crafting and cooking and before Pinterest
(Was there a before Pinterest??)
I would find things I loved and print them out
I have two fabric folder files neatly organized and labeled with categories
Kitchen, Living Room, Bedroom etc.
Holiday Decorating....each in it's own seasonal folder
And TONS of craft files from everyday prims and stitching to holidays

NOW THERE'S PINTEREST
Neatly organized boards (this girl LOVES organization which there is NO end to useful info on Pinterest)
I no longer have to waste monthly mortgage payments on printer ink
I no longer have a zillion bookmarks

Loooooove it!!

But, it seems to be the only thing I go to online anymore......
I hardly even visit Ebay anymore (gulp....who would have thought??)

Anyways, on to my news!!
As those of you that have been following me for awhile know, I design cross stitch patterns
I have wanted to release my pattern line for a looooong time but have ran into road blocks along the way mainly due to my stupidity with computer smarts

My birthday is coming up and I will finally be launching my patterns on that day.........

March 15th, 2013

I am so excited!!
I am going to try to offer both paper and PDF patterns and for now will be selling on my blog only
I will give you all the details soon

Also, the first person to order a pattern from me will receive a gift from me along with their pattern...a little extra thank you for supporting my work!!

Well, its 10 to 6 and I have to do my morning "chores" and shower and get ready for work
Loving my job....I get paid to play with frosting, amazing huh??
I Loooooove getting paid to be creative, and taste goodies each day........

~*New Career*~

I've always been a firm believer in the being in the right place at the right time.
Since our motorcycle accident in June our lives have been turned upside down with many dark days and sleepless nights.
I lost my job at Lowes as I was part time and there was no job holding policy as I heeled from my injuries.
Upon being released to go back to work the end of August the looong process of job hunting began and was fruitless.
A few weeks ago I was in Giant Eagle (a major grocery chain in our area) and was near the bakery and asked if by chance they were hiring.
I had already filled out an online application but I figured I was here, why not ask right??
They were actually just starting to look for a cake decorator!
I am Wilton certified in all three basic courses and have baked tons of cakes for family and friends but I have never worked in a bakery but could it happen???
Well...........
I talked to the manager
Got an interview
And got the job!!!
I have the last part of my orientation this morning and hope to be elbow deep in frosting next week!!
I will get paid to play with sugar and be creative all day.....wow, pinch me!!
I am beyond excited!
My boyfriend was finally released back to work full time last week
I am now employed again

I will share the long road we have traveled when I am able to
I know some of my posts have been like puzzle pieces but I will put it all together for you when I can
