~*Fall at the Primitive Apartment Homestead*~

Halloween is my favorite time of the year. The sights, smells and cool crisp air sing to my soul. Add to that a bounty of scary movies and shows on tv and I'm a happy, happy girl!!
Nothing better than a chilly fall day (preferably rainy), a scary movie (usually start my Halloween season off with Rose Red & the Shining by my boy Stephen King), a hot cup of coffee (or 10), and needle & thread in hand....that is Bliss.
This year brings some bittersweet emotions, no party with my boys and their friends watching Ghost Hunters Live (not on this year anyway....such a disappointment!!), and I don't get to dress up my dog and pass out candy to the trick or treaters.
Next year My boys & My dog will be with me on Halloween.
*Karma* *Karma* *Karma*
That just may be the next tattoo on my skin????
Anyway.......
Giving you a little tour of my city slicker apartment that I've tried to prim up and a few of my favorite Halloween decorations. Don't have them all, nor would I be able to use them all in this small space but I sprinkled a few throughout our "home".
Keep telling myself that love makes a home not location....
There's lot's of love here so I guess that makes it a home in our hearts.....that house will come, the search continues!!
For now, welcome.....it's small and simple, but it's the here and now.
Blessings to you all
Hold the ones you love
~Kriss~

Poor little witch.....I didn't get the stick in her right and it's a little short so she's using the pumpkin as leverage to stand. She still is a pretty little thing tho yes??

A sweet Stacey Nash design I stitched a few years ago. This is filled with sawdust so it's nice & heavy and smells sooooo good!!

When I have a fireplace again this large gathering basket will go in front and be filled with pumpkins, gourds, bittersweet & broomcorn

This dress is one of my designs, I just realized looking at the picture that the cheesecloth around the hat is missing, thought something didn't seem right!!
It's hard to get a good angle for photos in here because it's long & narrow. Can't wait to paint and cover that ugly vent!!

This kind of turned into my all handmade spot. The colors all blended well together here. The candy corns and leaves are my designs.

Poor little mousie has been packed away so many times, his lil whiskers need fluffin!!

Kitties with cheesecloth are my design.....this tree needs more ornaments and a topper. I was thrilled to find a black Charlie Brown looking tree!!

  1. You have so many amazing items, love all of your furniture pieces. You have decorated the new place so nicely. I know what you mean about a small place. We used to have a five bedroom New Englander home and now have a small place. I am doing what I can to decorate the best I can. Sometimes feels like I have too much "stuff". Oh well, if you are near the ones yo love, that is what is important. Your home is gorgeous. Blessings~Sara
